Teddy, near the Tunnel stop at Mile 52

Workers on the Alaska Railroad adopted a bear and chained the animal, which they named Teddy, near the Tunnel stop at Mile 52. This photo dates from the early 1920s. Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Library and Archives.
